FC Tokyo midfielder Takuji Yonemoto has torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and is expected to undergo surgery in the coming days, the J. League first-division club said on Thursday. Yonemoto also suffered medial ligament damage in the knee in Tokyo’s 1-0 league defeat away to Kawasaki Frontale last Saturday.
